Women’s Ministries

The Women’s Ministries of the Fitzgerald Church of God is very active within our church. The main focus of our Women’s Ministries is to encourage all women of the church to be a Proverbs 31 woman. Our ladies committees take care of many functions within the church such as wedding/baby showers, funerals, and church socials. The Women’s Ministries hosts various events throughout the year including our annual Christmas party—a night of food, fun, and fellowship.
The Women’s Ministries attend the annual South Georgia Church of God Ladies Conference at the state campground in Tifton, Georgia. This time of spiritual renewal and empowerment is held the first weekend in March. The Women’s Ministries is also involved in various mission projects. We support the Smokey Mountain Children’s Home, Covenant Sisters Ministry, and others. The Women’s Ministry is also involved in our local missions including the Christian Kitchen and food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Men’s Ministries
Rufus Matthews, Director
Our Men’s Ministries is very active in the church. They provide upkeep to many areas of the church grounds. They often host barbeque sales to raise money for various needs of the church. The men have a monthly breakfast which provides a time of fellowship and devotion. The men’s ministry hosts a Father & Son banquet every Father’s Day weekend. The men also attend various conferences during the year.
JOY Ministries
(Senior Adults Ages 50+)
God has blessed the Fitzgerald Church of God with a wonderful heritage. Our senior adults have so much wisdom to pass to younger generations. Our JOY Ministry provides a time of fellowship for our senior adults. JOY Ministry meets every 3rd Thursday night for dinner in the church social hall, and our senior adults really know how to cook! Our meetings are filled with good eating, good fellowship, and a good time in the Lord. Our JOY Ministry also attends the annual Senior Day at the South Georgia Campgrounds.
